Kate Ferrante is the Vice President of California Strategic Accounts for Kaiser Permanente, leading a team responsible for growth, retention, operational efficiency, and contract administration for over 2 Million members from the top 100 largest and complex employer groups in the State of California. These groups are made up of Public and Private Sector accounts and span Municipalities, Schools, Hi-Tech, Energy, Hospitality & Travel, Academics, Finance, Healthcare, and Food & Beverage. Kate has over twenty-seven years’ experience in the healthcare and employee benefits industry with experience in sales, account management, marketing and creating solutions to support cost management. Her career with Kaiser Permanente began in 1996 and she has held multiple leadership roles across the Kaiser Permanente enterprise. Kate received her B.S. in Business from Virginia Tech in 1992 and MBA from Georgia State University in 1995. She also attended Harvard Business School Executive Leadership program in 2015. Kate lives in Carlsbad, California, with her husband and blended family of four teenagers and their English Bulldog Maggie and her new rescue puppy Nala. She enjoys the beach, sailing, and travel.
Staci Austin has been with American Fidelity for 15 years. With over 20 years of experience working in the insurance industry, she’s spent the last 18 years specializing in health insurance and voluntary benefits. Currently Staci is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of Benefits Support Services for the education market. Staci’s expertise in training and developing benefits educators allows her to oversee a large team of career account managers who service School Districts, Charter Schools and Junior Colleges for Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara County. Staci has lived in Alhambra CA for over 20 years, has two sons (Pierce and Ryan) and a granddaughter (Isabel).
Legislative Advocate, California Advocates
Faith Borges is a Legislative Advocate with the firm California Advocates Inc, where she provides professional advocacy services before the legislature and regulatory agencies, focusing on the firm's insurance, public entity liability and business management clients. She has been involved in government affairs in the State Capitol since 2012 and is a policy and strategy expert.
Mrs. Borges has been the recipient of numerous Legislative Resolutions in her honor including recognition by Senators Steinberg and Gaines and Assemblywoman Baker in appreciation of her exemplary work in public service. She is an active member of the California Chamber of Commerce’s’ Employer’s Coalition, the Public Employer Advocates Coalition, and the Institute of Governmental Advocates. Her legislative work within the health insurance industry has been recognized on a state and national level with the State Legislative Excellence award in 2018 from the National Association of Health Underwriters and a Distinguished Service Award in 2020 from the California Association of Health Underwriters.
Faith earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California Santa Barbara and went on to become a California Senate Fellow earning her graduate certificate in Applied Policy and Government from Sacramento State University.
Steve Rizzo is a motivational speaker and a former stand-up comedian who is notable for his humorous style of motivational speaking and writing. Steve is a member of the National Speakers Association and an inductee of its Council of Peers Award for Excellence Speaker Hall of Fame. His book, Becoming a Humor Being: The Power to Choose a Better Way won the Writer’s Digest International Self-Published Book Awards.
Dr. John Rott
Regional Physician Market Leader, Kaiser Permanente
Dr. John Rott is a Regional Assistant Medical Director and Board-Certified Pediatrician currently practicing with Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. Dr. Rott trained at Princeton, Oxford, the University of Texas, Stanford, and Baylor College of Medicine, and holds a Master’s in Public Health focusing on chronic disease management. He has held administrative roles with Kaiser Permanente in Primary Care Operations, Membership Retention, and Customer Engagement. In his free time, he enjoys camping, playing the violin, and teaching mindfulness meditation.

Lorrie is Agency COO at AssuredPartners. She oversees sales strategy, operations, and marketing for the organization. In addition, Lorrie is a lead advisor for AssuredPartners’ largest clients to structure retirement and executive benefit programs that help attract, reward, and retain key employees. She specializes in unique benefit programs that help incentivize employees and drive overall company growth. Lorrie also works with business owners on life insurance for estate planning, key man protection and business transition. A staunch advocate for clients, she is known for being one of the most effective advisors in the industry and has served on various committees for life insurance carriers and advisory groups nationwide.
In 2015, Lorrie received the coveted Women of Influence Award given by the Puget Sound Business Journal and in 2016, the Journal named her to their 40 under 40 list of business leaders who are moving the needle. On the community front, Lorrie concentrates her energies and resources on programs that support disadvantaged women and children. She has served on multiple boards and is a known philanthropist who has raised millions of dollars for underprivilege communities. Lorrie is also an advocate for education and serves as an advisory board member for the College Access Now as well as Seattle University’s Executive Leadership Program. Prior to joining AssuredPartners, Lorrie held consulting positions at Merrill Lynch & First Investors. Lorrie graduated from Seattle University majoring in Marketing and International Business and earned a Leadership Executive MBA at the University.
